Royal Proclamation anniversary conference in Ottawa

The feds were not interested but someone remembers the significance of this one.  The Land Claims Agreements Coalition will hold a one-day seminar on October 7, 2013, the 250th anniversary of the Royal Proclamation of 1763, at the Canadian Museum of Civilization.  Details and registration now here.  Aboriginal leaders, law prof s, and a historian or two on the agenda.

The LCAC represents participants in the modern land treaties -- ie, the recent ones covering mostly the territories and northern Quebec.
