Canadianizing the Streets of Toronto

Great to see coverage of crowds of Torontonians  coming out to celebrate the dedication of Sankofa Square in the heart of Toronto, recently renamed to salute the contributions of African Canadians to the city over many decades.  Today is also the International Day for Remembrance of the Slave Trade and its Abolition.

The square, formerly known as Yonge-Dundas, used to pay tribute a couple of British colonial officials who never set foot in Canada. It's good to see it getting a real name chosen by Torontonians.
