The $50,000 Donner Prize for Public Policy books was awarded the other day to economist Thomas Courchene for his McGill-Queen's book,
Indigenous Nationals, Canadian Citizens: From First Contact to Canada 150 and Beyond. The book is previously unknown to me, but it sounds like he has been reading some history, which is always praiseworthy. Review may follow.... And I would say
the whole shortlist this year looks impressive, tho' less historical.
