Charlevoix, a blogue on New France

Just launched this past weekend is Charlevoix, a new blog on matters related to the history of New France.
The blogger is shy and chooses to use the name of the great eighteenth century historian Pierre-Francois-Xavier Charlevoix, whose Histoire et description generale de la Nouvelle-France (1744) was the go-to reference for Voltaire and the Encyclopedistes back then. From the postings so far, the blogger does seem to have the wide-ranging curiosity that distinguished his namesake. Vas-y!
Meanwhile, the charming History of Canada by Montreal Metro Stations blog has been on hiatus since the end of July. Hope it comes back.
