Prize Watch: Gerald Friesen's John Norquay received the Dafoe Prize

I had more than one friend nominated for this year's J.W. Dafoe Prize (the best book on Canada, Canadians, and/or Canada’s place in the world) and I salute all of them. It's a good list.

The Dafoe Prize jury chose an excellent book in selecting The Honorable John Norquay as the winner.  If you don't feel much need to review Norquay and his place in Canadian history, all the more reason to read Friesen and begin to understand.

More than one of the five nominated Dafoe books got some notice on this blog long before the nominations,  Norquay a couple of previous time: here and here.
