Edward MacDonald, historian of Prince Edward Island and UPEI professor, and Six Nations museums curator and advocate Richard Hill may be the standout names among the historically-minded Canadians appointed to the Order of Canada late in 2023.
Also of note: Bryan Prince, black history scholar and educator of Buxton, Ontario; Mi'kmaq cultural leader Albert Marshall, and (my old friend and publisher) Sara Angel, Canadian arts history curator and patron. Congratulation, all.
