Honours Watch: historians and writers at the Order of Canada

Just the other day, I was noting Ted Barris among the surviving, still producing, trade-market nonfiction historians of Canada. The Order of Canada people must have been reading, because yesterday Ted was on the New Year's list of new members. Congratulations, Ted.

Haven't scrutinized the whole list, but Ted may be the only historian, or indeed writer of any kind, on it this time. Is that more evidence of the fall of CanLit?

Update, January 5, 2023:  From an interview on CBC-Radio, I hear of Armand Doucet,  Moncton high school history teacher, Governor-General's History Award winner 2020, etc, among the honorees.
