The other day I missed the February 15 anniversary of the 1965 adoption of the maple leaf flag.
I'm actually not one of those horrified to see all those Maple Leaf flags being waved about by the FluTrux convoys around the country. Better the maple leaf than those other ones. They may be wrong about everything, but in seeking shelter under the Maple Leaf they seem to acknowledge the power of national institutions, even as they reject everyone's authority but their own. We're gonna need some of those national institutions.
