A GG from outer space?

Still not that much of an earphones guy, I did happen to overhear, in the midst of the scandal about the behaviour of Governor General Julie Payette, some of a podcast called Noble Blood about royal behaviour over the centuries.

Couldn't help thinking: okay, a GG shouldn't shout at her staff and security all the time, and maybe naming a budding agoraphobic as governor general was a mistake. But that seems like a tempest in a teapot compared to the horrors inflicted on the world and their subjects by pretty much every monarchy ever.

I'll take Ms Payette. Thank heaven we don't have a monarchy in this country.
