Merry Christmas

Prior to shutting down for the holidays: if you seek some kind of annual round-up, let me suggest the Fourth Annual Year in Review (100 Years Later) at Active History -- with many strange brackets leading to the selection of a greatest event of 1916 (except the war, go figure). And you can vote on it. Was the founding of the National Parks Service a bigger deal than the opening of, uh, Piggly-Wiggly?
We may be back before New Year's with some year end review. Or, see you in the new year with some news of my own.
Til then, the seasonal diet: chocolate, red wine, and stuffing.
Image: swiped it totally from Daniel Francis's blog, because it looked perfect. Thanks to Dan and all the history bloggers who have kept me informed and amused all year.
