Canada's History honours

Nice to see Canada's History honoured in a couple of competitions at MagNet, the Canadian magazines conference in Toronto.

Since the editors were all at work in Winnipeg, I was at the Canadian Society of Magazine Editors ready to accept the Best Magazine Award (smaller circulation category) but it went elsewhere. Canada's History settled for runner up.

But the Circulation Management Association gave Canada's History first prize Audience Development.

And Canada's History is up for some writing and editorial awards at the upcoming National Magazine Awards.  (Did i mention it is convention season.)

Update, July 12:  And props to Christopher Ruddy and Brad Mackay for writing nominations at the National Magazine Awards in Toronto on Friday for articles published in Canada's History -- good writing is still the heart of it.
