I've been lurking on Twitter a little while and it feels like having a real time window on the extinction of intelligent life. I think the first valuable thing I've found there is a link to this explanation by Member of Parliament Charlie Angus of why he has just abandoned Twitter.
Techno trends are not very predictable, and historians aren't supposed to do the future anyway. But I wonder if Charlie Angus is "an early unadopter" (if there is such a phrase) signalling a trend about to peak and decline.
