Cliopatria, the American history blog, links to British stories about Barack Obama's Kenyan grandfather and his sufferings during the Mau Mau events.
Cliopatria is better, I think, than its parent the History News Network, because HNN is completely devoted to American politics while Cliopatria focusses a little more on history and more on international history. But finding really good history blogs is still tough. (Remarkable: HNN is almost the only American site I've seen that actually uses the ending .us. Mostly Americans see national suffixes as something for other nations.)
