Prolific Alberta historian (hey, he's an ex-journo, and those are always the most productive ones) Brian Brennan has a biography of Ernest Manning, premier forever, first oil-premier and father/mentor to Preston, and therefore a guy of long and lasting influence. Amazingly enough, it's the first biography, they say.
