Roger Hall on the Cundill Prize

Professor Roger Hall ponders the implications of the new Cundill prize for history -- reported here some time ago -- and drops in a small plug for moi.

I appreciate the praise, but I can't say I share Professor Hall's beliefs: that schools don't teach history, that no one is writing or reading about Canadian history, or that academic and non-academic writing are basically the same thing. Is he right about any of these things?
