Active History has been publishing a series of essays on confederation, organized by the journal
Canada Watch. Today
it runs a commentary on the series by me. I am glad to see it, as it was commissioned by
Canada Watch and then declined by it, with the suggestion that it might confuse readers. CW did suggest it be included in the
Active History package, so you may judge if you are confused.
