The
Globe and Mail reports the recent death of
historian and museum professional David Terrence Ruddell, but historians may know him better as "Thiery/Thierry" Ruddell, formerly of the National Museums in Ottawa and prolific author and co-author on Quebec history, mostly with a demographic and material civilization focus, including his studies of artisans and craft industries in early French Canada, and the
Histoire de la Ville de Québec he wrote with John Hare and Marc Lafrance, published by Boréal in 1987.
