History is where you find it

Just to say that Danielle Terbenche's piece in Active History recently was a very nice piece of historical work on a small subject: a few neglected graves leading to an observation about 1920s social history. She begins:
In 2012, I began attending Holy Trinity Anglican Church in Thornhill, Ontario. After learning I was a historian, some church members invited me to join the cemetery board.
Churches -- even though many of them in my neighbourhood are being turned into condos --  remain the custodians of a vast amount of historical material. Good to know some historians remain in touch with that source.
