Kickstarting History

I've been waiting for this;  first news (to me, anyway) of a history project seeking funding through Kickstarter.

Carl Rodrigue and friends seek funding for a book project called 24 Hour Life, one hundred brief biographies based on moments on a 24 hour clock.

Kickstarter is a web-based crowd-sourcing funding process.  Participants solicit funds online, promising various rewards to investors who commit funds, and if sufficient funding commitments materialize, the project goes ahead.  In this case, promise them some money, and they promise you various book-related deals.

And it is time-sensitive:  commit the money this month, or the book dies.
