"Toronto in Time" from Canadian Encyclopedia

The Canadian Encyclopedia has launched an Android and iPhone app called Toronto in Time that features  "then and now" photos, slideshows, trails, and historical stories for more than 150 sites around Toronto.

Toronto in Time is a successor to Vancouver in Time, launched in 2011 and also available in app form.

Gotta say that at a time when encyclopedias other than the wiki-one seem to have become even more obsolete than other forms of print media, the Canadian Encyclopedia , now wholly digital and also exploring app-lications like this one, continues to secure its niche as an online source of Canadian reference information.
