Might be a moment to catch up on this oddity of American publishing: two books, one by rightwing nutter Patrick Buchanan, the other by eccentric novelist Nicholson Baker, arguing from different perspectives but to the same point: that the Second World War was Winston Churchill's fault, and we all would have done better if the western allies had just stayed out of it.
