The Blaikie Report: An Insiders Look at Faith and Politics
I just picked up a book the other day that's rather timely given the NDP's recent fortunes. The Blaikie Report: An Insider's Look at Faith and Politics is written by former MP, NDP leadership candidate, and United Church of Canada Minister Bill Blaikie and forwarded from former Liberal cabinet Minister Lloyd Axeworthy. It looks like it will be an interesting read as it reflects upon the rather paradoxical relationship between contemporary Canadian politics and liberal Christianity while slightly delving into the history of that relationship. I'll write more on it when finished.
